International Yoga Day Celebrated Grandly in New Delhi

New Delhi, June 21 (Janaswaram): International Yoga Day 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Minto Road Central Government Quarters Complex in New Delhi. The event was organized by Dr. S. Adinarayana under the guidance of Yogacharya Pinky Chandra, with the support of the Ministry of Ayush, the Indian Yoga Institute, and the Adileela Foundation. A large number of yoga practitioners and residents from Minto Road Complex, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg GPRA Quarters, Gandhi Market, Old Delhi, and nearby colonies participated in the event. Following the Yoga Protocol prescribed by the Ministry of Ayush, participants practiced various yogasanas including Tadasana, Trikonasana, Vajrasana, Uttanmandukasana, Uttanpadasana, Makarasana, and Pawanmuktasana. They also performed Kapalbhati, Sheetali Pranayama, Bhramari, and Anulom-Vilom Pranayama while learning about their health benefits. Speaking on the occasion, Yogacharya Pinky Chandra said that yoga, pranayama, and meditation are pathways to holistic health, mental peace, and happiness. She encouraged everyone to dedicate at least one hour daily to yoga practice and inspire children to adopt yoga as part of their routine. She emphasized that yoga can help build a healthier society and contribute to the development of a prosperous nation. Dr. S. Adinarayana, Founder and CEO of Adileela Foundation, highlighted the importance of yoga, pranayama, and meditation in maintaining physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and encouraged them to continue practicing yoga regularly for a healthy lifestyle. Women, youth, and children actively participated in the session and learned about the numerous benefits of yoga. Speakers noted that yoga not only improves individual health but also creates a positive environment in society. The event concluded successfully, with participants expressing happiness and gratitude for being part of the International Yoga Day celebrations.
