– Call to protect Hindu traditions
Anantapur, April 24 (Janaswaram): Hindu groups staged a protest near the Lenskart showroom at Srikantam Circle in the city. The protest was led by Aravindanagar In-charge Maraka Nagendra Yadav, with slogans calling for a boycott of Lenskart echoing during the demonstration. Speaking on the occasion, Nagendra Yadav stated that Sanatana Dharma is an ancient tradition that seeks the welfare of all humanity. He emphasized that it is everyone’s responsibility to respect the customs and traditions that have been followed in India for thousands of years. He said it is not appropriate for companies to issue directives against practicing Hindu traditions and called for strong opposition to such actions. He mentioned that the protest was organized in response to allegations that Lenskart had issued instructions against Hindu practices. He further stressed that there should be no religious discrimination and that equal opportunities must be provided to people of all faiths. Other leaders also stated that India is a country of unity in diversity and that one-sided policies are not acceptable. Nani said that the boycott movement against Lenskart would be expanded across the district. During the protest, slogans like “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” “Vande Mataram,” and “Jai Shri Ram” were raised. As a symbol of Hindu tradition, sindoor tilak was voluntarily offered to employees and customers. Participants in the protest included Hanumanth, Obul Reddy, Tirumala Naidu, Varun, Praveen, Madhu, Rajkumar, Pawan, and others.
