Anantapur, February 20, (Janaswaram) : On the occasion of the 399th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a grand bike rally was organized in Anantapur city under the banner of Hindu Jana Chaitanya Vedika. The programme was conducted under the leadership of Vedika leaders Keshava Reddy and Suresh. District President Vishweshwar Reddy, Harihara Devasthanam President Ravi, and Journalists Association District President Nagendra Yadav participated as chief guests. The rally began at Harihara Devasthanam in Ashok Nagar with floral tributes to the portrait of Shivaji Maharaj. It then proceeded through Saptagiri Circle, Tower Clock and Court Road, finally reaching Abhayanjaneya Temple in Housing Board where participants paid rich tributes to the statue. Vishweshwar Reddy stated that Shivaji Maharaj stands as a symbol of awakening for Hindu society. Suresh called upon youth to come forward to protect traditions and culture and to work for dharma protection through social media. Nagendra Yadav appealed that social unity is essential for national development. Keshava Reddy thanked the large number of youth who participated. RSS and BJP leaders along with hundreds of youngsters took part and made the rally successful.
