Anantapur, May 13 (Janaswaram): NSUI State General Secretary Naresh Yanamala alleged that the cancellation of the NEET entrance examination, conducted on May 4 across the country and attended by over 2 million students, due to a paper leak is highly unfortunate. Demanding that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan take moral responsibility and resign, NSUI leaders led by Naresh Yanamala burned an effigy of the minister. Speaking on the occasion, Naresh Yanamala criticized the Central Government for playing with the lives of poor and middle-class students. He said students who prepared for two years and traveled to different districts to write the exam are now suffering because of the government’s negligence. He alleged that last year NEET papers were leaked and sold for ₹30 lakh to ₹50 lakh in Haryana and Bihar, and claimed that a similar leak had occurred again this year for money. He stated that the NEET examination conducted by the NTA had now been leaked twice in recent years, exposing the Centre’s negligence. He pointed out that such incidents did not occur when states conducted their own entrance examinations. He demanded the immediate abolition of the NTA and a comprehensive CBI investigation into the paper leak. He also demanded the resignation of Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, warning that NSUI would launch large-scale protests if action was not taken. NSUI district president Obilesu, Ajay, Naveen, Shivaji, Charan, B. Siddharth and others participated in the protest.
