Petition for the Construction of Ambedkar Bhavan in Nemakallu

- Woman member Radhika meets SC Commission Chairman

Anantapur, April 21, (Janaswaram): Representatives of the Constitutional Rights Protection Organization have requested authorities to take steps for the construction of an Ambedkar Bhavan and installation of a statue in Nemakallu village of Bommanahal mandal, with the aim of promoting social justice, equality, and educational awareness. In this regard, they met Andhra Pradesh SC Commission Chairman K.S. Jawahar at the Revenue Bhavan in the District Collectorate and submitted a petition. They explained that due to the lack of a proper venue for conducting social and educational programs in the village, people from SC communities are facing difficulties. They stated that the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan would provide a permanent center for organizing meetings, training programs, and access to educational resources. It would also help in spreading the ideas of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar at the grassroots level. Speaking on the occasion, woman member Radhika said it is unfortunate that there is no proper platform in Nemakallu village for conducting awareness programs for women and youth. She emphasized that the construction of Ambedkar Bhavan would create a stable center for organizing training camps and self-employment programs for women. She added that the installation of Ambedkar’s statue would inspire the youth and strengthen the spirit of equality. She urged the government to immediately sanction land, funds, and necessary permissions for the project. The representatives requested officials to allocate land for the building, grant permission for the statue installation, release the required funds, and expedite the implementation of the project. They further mentioned that the people of Nemakallu village are eagerly awaiting this project, which would not only contribute to village development but also improve the social status of SC communities. The program was attended by organization founder V.Y. Murthy, women members Radhika, Vijayamma, Somu Sundari, Tirumalamma, Shyamala, Ramakrishnamma, Lakshmi, Shanti, and villagers Ganganna, Shiva Rudra, and others.
