Tirupati, April 22, (Janaswaram): On the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 135th birth anniversary celebrations, state-level Kabaddi and Volleyball tournaments were grandly organized under the leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party Dalit Morcha. The competitions were held at the National Sanskrit University in Tirupati. BJP SC Morcha State President Panthala Suresh attended the event as the chief guest. TTD Trust Board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Dalit Morcha State Vice President Shanta Kumar, and SC Morcha State General Secretary Basavaraju, along with others, were present. Speaking on the occasion, Sri Sathya Sai district SC Morcha President K. Gopinath stated that it is everyone’s responsibility to carry forward the ideals of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar among the youth. He said that sports help in developing discipline, unity, and leadership qualities. He expressed pride that the Penukonda team secured the runners-up position at the state-level competitions. He also emphasized the need to recognize and encourage the talent of rural youth. He urged the party leadership to organize more such sports events and wished that the athletes would reach greater heights in the future. In these competitions, the volleyball team from Penukonda mandal in Sri Sathya Sai district delivered an outstanding performance and finished as runners-up. Players including Hari, Ashok, Saray, Mouli, Sai, Shiva, Venkatesh, Teja, Suresh, Krishna Reddy, and Ramesh played with excellent coordination and contributed to the team’s success.
